For over 500 years Witney has been recognised as an international centre for trade, with its famous blankets being exported all over the globe. This long business history makes the Oxfordshire town the perfect back-drop for a major Trade Fair.


It should come as no surprise to learn that for nearly 100 years a Trade Fair operated in Witney - with the first mention in town records dating back to 1936 and the most recent, staged on Church Green in 2005.

After an absence of nine years, Abacus Events is proud to be re-launching this prestigious event - which has been warmly welcomed by the towns business community & those who remember the Witney Trade Fairs of old.

Promising to be bigger & better than ever, this Septembers Witney Trade Fair will have a new home - a 2,000 square metre marquee pitched on The Leys, in the shadow of the imposing St Marys Church, situated right in the heart of this beautiful Cotswold town.

This new location provides more space than ever before for exhibitors & has also enabled the show organiser to present new additions to the traditional Trade Fair offering, in the form of Business Seminars, Keynote Speakers & Charitable fund-raising evening events. These additional attractions will help to establish the re-launched Witney Trade Fair as THE must do business event of the year.

With dozens of companies already signed-up for the two-day event, the Witney Trade Fair promises to showcase a varied cross-section of the local business community & provide the perfect forum to forge new working partnerships & grow businesses, with the focus on keeping things local.
